HPSR 2006 Welcome

Welcome

On behalf of the Executive Committee, it is a great pleasure to invite you to the 2006 Workshop on High Performance Switching and Routing (HPSR), which will be held in Poznan, Poland, on 7-9 June 2006.

The HPSR Workshop, earlier known as ATM Workshop and International Workshop on Broadband Switching Systems is held yearly from 1993. It was founded and is run by Communications Switching and Routing TC of Communications Society. The current name was first used for the event held in 2000 in Heidelberg. From that time HPSR was organized Dallas, USA (2001), Kobe, Japan (2002), Torino, Italy (2003), Phoenix, AZ, USA (2004) and Hong-Kong, China (2005). The 2006 year edition of International Workshop on High Performance Switching and Routing will be organized in Poznan, Poland.

It is organized in co-operation with following Technical Committees (in alphabetical order):

  • Communications Software TC,
  • High-Speed Networking TC,
  • Optical Networking TC.

The main purpose of the HPSR 2006 is to identify new trends and presentations of the latest research results in the area of high-speed and high-capacity switching and routing. The overall program of the HPSR 2006 event will be based on technical and posters sessions supplemented by a plenary session. Areas that have been selected as the primary categories for technical paper submission cover the most recent and hot technical aspects of switching and routing in present and future telecommunications networks and systems.
